The most sought after Carrabba’s recipe on the internet isn’t even a menu item! It’s their Olive Oil Bread Dip…you know, that zippy, garlicky seasoning mix that they serve with fresh drizzled olive oil and crusty bread before the meal comes. And, I got you covered right here.
Owned and operated by the restaurant industry giant, Bloomin’ Brands, Carrabba’s Italian Grill is one of their most popular and lucrative concepts. The restaurant chain, founded by 2 Italian-American boys from Galveston, Texas, Damian Mandola and John Carrabba, features Italian-American cuisine.
But, I find that the recipes from Carrabba’s always put a different spin on the traditional Italian favorites. And while I, personally, don’t take issue with that, it is obviously a complaint that the restaurant chain has heard before.  A quote from the founder’s, taken from Carrabba’s website reads; “So give us a break here. Don’t go picking over our Grandma’s and Mamma’s and Aunt’s and Uncle’s recipes, whining about this not being the way they did it at your house. Great! We’ll go to your house, this is the way the old folks taught the young folks. This is the way we remember things tasting. And this is what it all comes down to-with generous sprinklings of life, love and oregano-for two Sicilian boys from Texas who love to cook and eat.”
You can combine the dry seasoning and keep in an airtight container for future deliciousness. Add the fresh garlic and olive oil right before use, however. Unrefrigerated olive oil with garlic or herbs can be a health risk, so if you combine the oil with the garlic and herbs, keep that bad boy in the fridge!

Ingredients
- 1 TBL crushed red pepper
- 1 TBL ground black pepper
- 1TBL dried oregano
- 1 TBL dried basil flakes
- 1 TBL dried parsley flake
- 1.5 tsp. powdered garlic
- 1.5 tsp. onion powder
- 1.5 tsp kosher salt
Instructions
Blend together and keep in an airtight container until ready to serve.
To Serve:
1 heaping TBL of dried mix
1 med-large clove of fresh, minced garlic
3 TBL EVOO
Stir and serve with crusty Italian bread.
Serve with Carrabba's Chicken Bryan or Carrabba's Chicken Marsala and Enjoy!
